Our Director, Marianne Takas, has worked for over 30 years in the child welfare
area, as a lawyer, social service worker, policy analyst, and author. She has worked
for the American Bar Association on Children and the Law, the National Foster Parent
Association, and the Georgia Department of Human Services, and is the author of six
previously published books on child welfare topics.
- Board Co-Chairs Dwayne and Diane Parris are National Honorees of the National
Fatherhood Initiative's "What's Your Legacy?" campaign, reflecting their commitment
to family and community.
- Board Member Mark Hardin served as the Director of the National Resource Center
for Child Welfare Law and the Director of the Foster Care Project of the American Bar
Association Center on Children and the Law.
- Board Members Margarita and Alfredo Miranda are the co-owners of Miranda
Construction, and are active in local community issues.
Board Member Edward Warner is the Deputy Editor of State Magazine for the
U.S. Department of State, and is the co-author of the books To Love a Child and
Becoming a Family.
